The Terrifying Mutation of Savage Spider-Man

Spider-Man has been through a lot of physical and mental torture over the years, but few transformations are as terrifying as when he completely loses his humanity. What happens when the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man turns into a mindless, bloodthirsty monster?

A Lethal Dart and a Brutal Transformation

The chaos begins when a deadly dart, originally intended for Ka-Zar, hits Peter Parker instead. Because Spider-Man heroically took the hit for him, his unique radioactive DNA reacts violently to the substance.

Almost instantly, his mutation activates and he completely loses control. Peter Parker is gone. In his place, only Savage Spider-Man remains. His physical strength increases in a brutal way, and his behavior becomes entirely driven by primal instinct.

Wolverine and Ka-Zar vs. A Monster

The situation quickly escalates into a nightmare. Not even the combined strength of Wolverine and Ka-Zar can stop the mutated web-slinger. Faced with an unstoppable beast, Ka-Zar makes his stance clear: the only way they are going to survive is by attacking him with lethal force.

However, Wolverine completely refuses. He reminds Ka-Zar that the dart was meant for him, and Spider-Man sacrificed himself to save his life. Because of that heroic act, they owe it to Peter to find a cure, no matter the cost.

The Strangest Cure in Marvel History

Suddenly, the savage creature gets distracted when he finds a dinosaur. Without hesitation, the mutated Spider-Man attacks the massive beast with uncontrolled ferocity, even attempting to devour it!

Wolverine uses this wild distraction to finally hold him down. At the exact same time, Ka-Zar prepares the cure using a resource that is as strange as it is effective: a skunk. The animal releases a unique substance that somehow works as an antidote against the dart's chemicals, and the horrific mutation begins to reverse. Spider-Man finally returns to normal.

But the conflict doesn't end there. After regaining his senses, the three heroes go directly after the ones responsible for this nightmare: Kraven the Hunter and Taskmaster. After an intense confrontation, the villains are ultimately defeated.
